Qualifications
Paz holds a BSc degree in Biology from the University of the Philippines, an MA International Business and Economic Development and a PhD in Economics, both from the University of Reading.
She received the Academy of International Business Richard N. Farmer Prize in 1989 for her PhD dissertation, 'The Global Shift in International Production: The Growth of Multinational Enterprises from Developing Countries'.
Employment history
Dr Paz Estrella Tolentino was appointed Lecturer in International Business at Birkbeck in January 1995 after having previously worked at the United Nations Centre on Transnational Corporations in New York and at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in Geneva since 1988.
She helped to establish and launch the postgraduate programmes in International Business at Birkbeck, and served as its programmedirector from its inception in the academic year 1996/1997 until 2002/2003.
