Term dates and holiday closing

Certain term date exceptions apply if you are completing a full-time taught Master's degree (including MRes) or Postgraduate Diploma or are a research student, and you may be expected to study beyond the end of the summer term in order to complete your dissertation.

2025-26

  • Autumn term: Monday 29 September 2025 to Friday 12 December 2025
  • Spring term: Monday 12 January 2026 to Friday 27 March 2026
  • Summer term: Monday 27 April 2026 to Friday 10 July 2026

Christmas closing 

The College will close at 6pm on Tuesday 23 December 2025, and normal services will resume from 9am on Monday 5 January 2026.

The Library may have different opening hours to the College during holidays. Check Library opening hours.

Easter closing 

The College will close at 6pm on Wednesday 1 April 2026, and normal services will resume from 9am on Wednesday 8 April 2026.

    • Autumn term: Monday 5 October 2026 to Friday 18 December 2026
      • Christmas closing: The College will close at 6pm on Wednesday 23 December 2026, and normal services will resume from 9am on Monday 4 January 2027.
    • Spring term: Monday 11 January 2027 to Thursday 25 March 2027
      • Easter closing: The College will close at 10pm on Thursday 25 March 2027, and normal services will resume from 9am on Thursday 1 April 2027.
    • Summer term: Monday 26 April 2027 to Friday 9 July 2027

  • 2027-28

    • Autumn term: Monday 4 October 2027 to Friday 17 December 2027
      • Christmas closing: The College will close at 6pm on Thursday 23 December 2027, and normal services will resume from 9am on Tuesday 4 January 2028.
