Overview
What is reality? Metaphysics, 'the science of being', aims to describe reality at the highest level of generality. Our Identity, Mind and Free Will short course discusses material objects and asks whether reality also contains immaterial things. Do properties really exist? Does the soul? Does God? And how should we set about answering these questions?
Assessment is by writing assignment (50%) and a take-home examination (50%).
