Introduction to Ancient Philosophy

Ancient philosophy is characterised by discussion and debate on a plethora of topics: from how we should live and why I act against my beliefs, to the structure of reality and the ultimate nature of knowledge. The lectures provide an entry route into this inspiring and enlightening argumentative world.

This Short Course can be taken as a stand-alone course or it may be available as part of a Certificate of Higher Education.

Assessment is 100% by coursework, in the form of an essay, amounting to 2500-3000 words.
