Staff computer accounts

We receive details daily of new starters from the HR system. Computer accounts are created, and the username and password information sent to the contact email address provided. This provides access to standard office productivity systems, email, intranet, filestore. Where additional access is required to other corporate systems, this is enabled on request of the service owner.

ITS computer and email accounts are suspended automatically on the leaving date provided to us by the HR system.  If you require access to be extended beyond your leaving date please ask your line manager to contact the ITS Service Desk (its@bbk.ac.uk) to request such extension for a defined period.  Retiring academics and researchers with a continuing association with the College can self-request such an extension by contacting the ITS Service Desk.  We will then create an override in the identity management system to provide continued access for an agreed period.

Staff files are archived after three months and remain in the archive for seven years before being deleted.
