Kenway Legacy Scholarships

Background

This fund is made possible by a generous legacy from the late Mrs Constance Kenway.

Up to two awards will be made per academic year for the total annual fees due for the master's programme the student enrols on. The payment will be made directly to the College in the scholar’s name.

Students accepted onto the specialist MSc and MA programmes delivered by the School of Psychological Sciences will be eligible to apply for this scholarship. MRes programmes and MSc Psychology (conversion) are excluded from this award.

Applicants will need to demonstrate financial difficulties that would prohibit them from enrolling on the course if they were not to receive the award.

The award is open for both full-time and part-time (50%) studies.

Selection of the recipients will be made from those applicants meeting the criteria laid out above based on academic merit. It is expected that all recipients would normally have been awarded a first-class undergraduate degree.

Conditions of application and award

  • To be considered, applicants must have an unconditional offer on one of MA/MSc programmes delivered by the school as stated above.
  • Awards are intended to acknowledge and support applicants with a very strong academic record.
  • A maximum of one scholarship will be awarded per applicant.
  • An award will only apply for the 2023/24 academic year of entry and cannot be deferred.
  • Applications for a scholarship must be received by Friday 14 July 2023.
