The amount you will pay for a course depends on whether you are a new or continuing student. The following questions will help you determine which category you fall into.
| 1. Are you new to higher education and starting an undergraduate Certificate of Higher Education or degree in 2012/2013? | Yes: you are a new student | No: go to next question |

Did you last study a Certificate of Higher Education, foundation or bachelor's degree in 2011/2012, have not withdrawn or completed that course, and are continuing on any undergraduate course in the same mode of study (i.e. part-time or full-time)? | Yes: you are a continuing student | No: go to next question |

3. Have you been awarded a Certificate of Higher Education or foundation degree in 2011/2012 and are going straight into an undergraduate honours degree (BA/BSc/LLB) in the same mode of study (i.e. part-time or full-time) in 2012/2013? |
Yes: you are a continuing student | No: go to next question |

4. Did you formally withdraw from your previous undergraduate course (Certificate of Higher Education, foundation or bachelor's degree)? |
Yes: you are a new student | No: go to next question |

5. Are you continuing on an undergraduate degree (foundation or bachelor's degree) in 2012/2013 in the same mode of study (i.e. part-time or full-time) after an agreed break in studies? |
Yes: you are a continuing student | No: go to next question |

6. Did you last study a Certificate of Higher Education course in 2009/2010 or 2010/2011, did not withdraw or complete, and are continuing undergraduate study in 2012/2013? |
Yes: you are a continuing student | No: you are a new student |
