If you work (or would like to work) with children and young people and have an interest in children’s development, mental health and emotional well-being, then this series of mini lectures will be of interest to you.

This is the fourth of a series of 5 mini lectures that showcase our work on the Foundation Degree in Psychology for Education Professionals and the BA Psychology for Education.  The issues covered have been chosen as particularly relevant in the current times and are ideal for anyone working with children and young people who has an interest in psychology and/or anyone who wants to find out more about our approach on the psychology for education programmes.

In this session, we will discuss metacognition, what it is and its usefulness in supporting students of all ages to understand and take control of their own learning. The session will also explore specific strategies that educators can apply to enable students to engage with learning more actively. The session will include the opportunity for discussion and a question-and-answer session.
