Undergraduate study

Why Birkbeck?

Students choose Birkbeck because we have a central London campus, are part of the prestigious University of London and we offer teaching during the day, in the evenings and online. This means you can fit your learning around work or other commitments and get ahead in a competitive job market while studying for a University of London degree that is recognised by employers across the world.

As well as offering daytime, evening and online teaching, most of our degrees can also be studied full- or part-time.

We teach an extensive range of subjects across business, law, natural sciences, social sciences, the arts and humanities and our degrees are designed to enhance students’ employment prospects.

We carry out research in the subjects we offer and this informs our teaching, which means that students learn from experts in their field of study whose research informs their teaching.
