Your Birkbeck Journey Starts Here - Undergraduate Event
When:
—
Venue:
Birkbeck Main Building, Malet Street
Join us for an evening dedicated to practical advice and support to help you take the next step in applying to us.
Unlike our academic open days, this session focuses on practical support — giving you the confidence and insight to apply and study at Birkbeck. Whether you have been to one of our Open Days before, or visiting us for the first time, we are here for you.
Event Format:
You will take part in a series of interactive workshops and discussions to help make an informed decision. Attendees will be split into small groups and rotate through a range of sessions, each led by one of our professional services teams.
(Please note that no academic staff will be available at the event)
Sessions breakdown:
UCAS Application Workshop
An interactive session designed to help you build a strong UCAS application. You’ll explore what makes a standout personal statement, get hands-on experience with real examples, and leave with practical tips you can apply immediately.
Student & Alumni Discussion
Hear directly from those who’ve been where you are now. Our students and alumni will share their experiences, challenges, and advice in an open Q&A discussion. You’ll gain valuable insights into student life, hear first-hand perspectives on studying and career opportunities, and have the chance to ask questions, get practical advice, and learn from their personal journeys to help you make informed decisions about your own future.
Careers Workshop
Learn how Birkbeck supports your career goals — from employability skills to networking and professional development. You’ll take part in a group activity to discover how to make the most of Birkbeck’s career services.
Campus Tours
Our campus tours, led by one of our experienced current students, will give you an insight into our buildings and facilities in Bloomsbury, central London. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience student life firsthand, learn more about the campus environment, discover the resources and facilities available to students, and ask questions to gain a better understanding of what it’s like to study with us.
We look forward to welcoming you!
(Please note that this is a non-academic support event, so academic staff will not be available to discuss individual courses.)
