The QS subject rankings provide students with information on institutions that are excelling in over 50 subjects and five faculty areas; and are informed by over 16 million academic papers as well as the views of more than 150,000 academics and 200,000 employers.
The new ranking scores higher education institutions from around the globe on academic capacity and performance, innovation and global reach.
The ceremony included keynote addresses from Ms Zhou Wei, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, and Professor Sally Wheeler, Vice-Chancellor of Birkbeck.
The QS World University Rankings are the world’s most popular source of comparative data about university performance, including academic reputation and the impact and quality of work produced by universities; and this year evaluated over 8000 higher education institutions.
The scholarships provide tuition fee reductions for both undergraduate and master's programmes
The event took place on Thursday 8 February at Birkbeck’s Terrace 5 Restaurant.
A vision to teach every Birkbeck student in a Birkbeck building is not only being realized but racking up a number of awards in the process.
Scholarships will be available to international students who are starting master’s courses in Autumn 2022 or January 2023 and are part of Birkbeck’s commitment to strengthen its global reach and diverse student community.
Membership builds on a long-term commitment by the College to support refugee and asylum-seeker communities and expands its activities as a University of Sanctuary.
