Birkbeck launches three new scholarships for international students

Scholarships will be available to international students who are starting master’s courses in Autumn 2022 or January 2023 and are part of Birkbeck’s commitment to strengthen its global reach and diverse student community.

Birkbeck is pleased to announce two new scholarships for international students living in India or Nigeria and starting a full-time postgraduate course in Autumn 2022 or January 2023: the Early Enrolment Tuition Fee Reduction, which offers a 10% reduction on course fees to full-time international students who complete enrolment by 31st August 2022; and a £1,000 scholarship for international students starting on one of the full-time master's courses offered by the Department of Management.

A third scholarship, entitled the Nigeria Creative Industries Master’s Scholarship, offers a £1000 tuition fee reduction to full-time international students domiciled in Nigeria, who are starting any master’s course led by the School of Arts.

The move comes following the popularity of the Global Future Scholarship, which was designed to support students from all EU member countries and Brazil to gain access to postgraduate master’s study at Birkbeck.

Recognising the importance in having a diverse student community and the financial barriers that many international students face, Birkbeck has launched these new schemes to provide financial aid, as part of a continued commitment to enhancing its global reach and to support those international students wishing to study at Birkbeck.
