Following the successful launch of a new range of short courses in 2025, Birkbeck is expanding its offer for 2026-27, introducing new opportunities for learners to develop professional skills, advance their careers and explore areas of personal interest.
The awards are competitive, with 30 academics being awarded Fellowships from a pool of 335 applicants.
Over the coming year, Amplify will deliver a programme of structured activity focused on employability development, career insight and real-world experience.
Running from 28 to 30 April, graduation ceremonies will also be available to watch via live stream for friends and family who can’t be there in person.
The centre will provide students and staff with exciting opportunities to use digital media, virtual reality and augmented reality.
A programme of talks, workshops and panel events returns this March, inviting students, researchers, professionals and the public to engage with climate science, culture and action.
Birkbeck will host the second edition of its Intelligent Impact webinar series on 24 February, bringing together leading academics to explore some of the most pressing issues shaping today’s world.
Graduation ceremonies will run from 2 to 4 December and will also be available to watch via live stream.
The conference was part of ‘Ukrainian Week in the United Kingdom’ taking place across the country.
Birkbeck’s annual Gwynne-Vaughan Medal prizes celebrated six outstanding researchers this year, recognising exceptional contributions across business, law, humanities, social sciences and science.
