On-the-spot study offers available at Birkbeck’s Clearing open day
Birkbeck is recruiting to a range of courses via Clearing which allow students to choose how and when they study, so they can work and get a head start on the career ladder whilst studying for a University of London degree.
Students across the UK will receive their A-level results on Thursday 14 August and Birkbeck is offering places on a range of undergraduate courses through Clearing, including on-the-spot offers at its upcoming Open Day.
Prospective students are invited to attend the Clearing Open Day on Saturday 16 August, running from 11:00 to 15:00 at the Main Building on Malet Street, WC1E 7HX.
Visitors will have the chance to:
- take a guided tour of the Bloomsbury campus, led by current students
- hear informative talks from Student Services, including student finance
- meet current students to learn more about life at Birkbeck
- speak with academics and support staff in drop-in sessions to ask questions and explore subject areas
- receive on-the-spot study offers from the admissions team.
Students who can’t attend the Open Day but are still interested in applying through Clearing can contact the university’s dedicated hotline on 020 3907 0700, and further information is available via Birkbeck’s Clearing web page.
Birkbeck’s courses are available to study in the evening, with some also offered in the day or online. Combined with its central London location, Birkbeck is an ideal choice for students looking to gain work experience, support themselves financially, or balance other commitments while studying.
Lynn Grimes, Director of Marketing and External Relations, said:
"We’re looking forward to welcoming students through Clearing again this year. Located in the heart of London, a few minutes’ walk from Tottenham Court Road, Euston and Kings Cross, Birkbeck offers a unique opportunity for students to gain a prestigious University of London degree while balancing work, volunteering or other commitments. We look forward to welcoming new students in October.”
