Undergraduate courses
All our undergraduate courses, whether full-time or part-time, are taught in the evenings. Teaching takes place during the week between 6 and 9pm over three terms from October to July. This means you can continue to work and balance other commitments while realising your educational ambitions.
Undergraduate Subject Areas
Accounting
- Our accounting courses build the quantitative, analytical and decision-making skills that prepare you for a career in accountancy or to work closely with the accounting profession.
- All our accounting major programmes are recognised by CIMA, the world's largest body of management accountants, and ACCA, the global body for professional accountants.
Business
- Our business courses are designed with the flexibility for you to satisfy your own interests and professional development goals, whether you're looking to specialise in accounting, marketing or human resource management or to become a well-rounded business generalist.
- You will develop key competencies required to succeed in a business environment, including analysis and decision-making, quantitative abilities and communication and interpersonal skills.
International Business
- Our courses in international business bring you up to date with the rapidly changing environment in which multinational enterprises operate and in which local businesses achieve international reach.
- You will deepen your knowledge of a broad range of management issues, such as strategic management, marketing, finance and operations management.
Culinary Industry Management
- Our BBA Culinary Industry Management is delivered in partnership with Le Cordon Bleu London.
- You will gain a firm foundation in practical culinary techniques and management principles, preparing you for a career in the culinary industry.
- The programme features an internship, allowing you to gain practical experience of a real food business work environment.
Management
- Our management courses enable students to take a step towards becoming team leaders or senior managers in their organisations.
- Alongside vital transferable skills such as communication and critical thinking, you will gain an insight into a broad range of management issues in key areas such as strategic management, marketing, finance, operations management and organisational behaviour.
- The BSc Management is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
Marketing
- Our specialist marketing courses provide you with a strong grounding in marketing theory and practice, exploring areas such as buyer behaviour, digital marketing and brand development.
- Teaching is informed by cutting-edge research from the department's Marketing and Consumer Research Group.
- You will also gain an understanding of basic business principles and develop transferable skills such as communication, analysis and decision-making that are valuable in the workplace.
- We also offer a unique opportunity in partnership with Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC), where students can attain both Bachelor in Business Administration from UIC and BSc Marketing from Birkbeck after five years of study in Barcelona and London. Find out more about the partnership.
