Boaventura de Sousa Santos
Professor Boaventura de Sousa Santos has been appointed as to a Visiting Professorship at the Birkbeck Law School and as a BIH Fellow from October 2010 to May 2011.
Boaventura de Sousa Santos is Professor of Sociology at the School of Economics, University of Coimbra (Portugal), Distinguished Legal Scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School and Global Legal Scholar at the University of Warwick.
He has published widely on globalization, sociology of law and the state, epistemology, democracy, and human rights in Portuguese, Spanish, English, Italian, French and German.
