The Marketing and Consumer Research Group at Birkbeck College Department of Management produces cutting edge research that addresses major problems and issues in the field today. Our community of research scholars and PhD students draw on a wide range of intellectual traditions to inform our inclusive and multidisciplinary research ethos. These traditions include feminist theory, anthropology, literary, sociological and managerial and quantitative approaches, reflecting our interest not only in the practices of marketing and consumer research but also in their wider implications for social, cultural and business policy.
