Birkbeck is able to offer a limited number of bursaries, supported by generous donations from alumni and organisations supportive of Birkbeck's mission.
If you have experienced a change of circumstance in your personal situation while studying, such as redundancy, illness or domestic problems, the Birkbeck Hardship Fund may be able to help you.
This fund will provide 20 asylum seekers, who are not eligible for student finance, with a scholarship to study a university-level programme
A small number of accommodation scholarships are available to full-time students at Birkbeck.
If you need help covering the costs of childcare, you may be eligible for support from the government and/or from Birkbeck.
