The mycology lab is equipped for the following activities:
- Light microscopy
- Class 2 area work with pathogenic fungi (Class 2 cabinet)
- DNA isolation and PCR
- Freeze drying of small and very large samples
- Storage of living culture collections
- Media making and microbiological waste disposal in the media kitchen
