Mark James studentship

We are inviting applications for Mark James Bequest PhD Studentship for the 2022-23 entry.

The scholarship is funded by Mr. Mark James, in honour of his friend Sir Peter Hall, an urban planner and geographer, and also an alumnus and former lecturer at Birkbeck.

The Department of Geography at Birkbeck is offering four PhD studentships available for PhD studies beginning in October 2022. The studentships will cover tuition fees and a stipend for up to three years for full-time study (or apportioned across up to five years for part-time study). Studentships are open to both home and overseas students. However, at least three of the four lines will be reserved for home students.

Please click on the links below for details on each project. The projects available encompass a wide range of topics studied within the department and reflect the diversity of disciplines and interdisciplinarity in our research.
