About us
The Birkbeck Sport Business Centre was founded in 1999 and is one of the longest-running research centres anywhere dedicated to sport. Members of the Centre conduct research on a variety of topics and undertake consultancy work for organisations in the sport sector and elsewhere. The Centre hosts regular events with high-profile sport industry speakers and is linked directly to Birkbeck’s portfolio of sport management programmes and short courses.
The work of the Birkbeck Sport Business Centre has led to significant impact in the sport industry and is intended to stimulate public debate around the business of sport. Our work is international in scope and we have a number of established partnerships with leading European universities and high-level sport organisations, including UEFA, as well as a wide range of links with sport industry individuals and organisations.
