    Biography

    Dil Sidhu is a Professor of Management Practice (Columbia Graduate School of Business) and teaches on MBA and executive education programmes. His areas of interest include 'Leadership', 'The Science of Influence and Persuasion', 'Forecasting, Disruptive Change and Scenario Planning', and 'Systematic Inventive Thinking'.

    Dil has taught at 22 colleges and universities around the world along with custom executive education programmes for organisations that include the Weather Channel, the Washington Post, AT Kearney, PwC, KPMG, EY, McKinsey & Company, Transport for London, Lloyds of London, Emirates Airways, Lufthansa, Institute of Directors, British Telecom, Telenor, Honda Europe, Berkshire Hathaway, Coursera, edX, The Clore Foundation, London Borough of Lambeth, Road Safety GB, ICBC, Daichi Sankyo, AstraZeneca, Nestle, Procter & Gamble, BDO, Microsoft, American Association of Deans of Medical Schools, Times Higher Education, UK Education Forum, University of Manchester, Association of British Psychologists, EFMD, AACSB, SABMiller, British Army, Royal Airforce, Royal Navy, Royal Marines Commandos, Bentley Motors, the Whitehall & Industry Group, among others.  

    Prior to higher education, Dil worked in local government (Deputy CEO at the London Borough of Lambeth), business advisory and restructuring (National Director at BDO LLP and Managing Principal at KPMG LLP), and retail (Director of Operational Planning at the Dixons Stores Group).

    Within the higher education sector, Dil has worked with UK Russell Group and US Ivy League institutions along with online learning platforms.  Roles included Director of Custom Programmes at London Business School, Chief External Officer and Managing Director of Executive Education at the University of Manchester, Vice-Dean with Columbia University in New York City, Chief Content Officer at Coursera, Senior Advisor for Growth Initiatives at edX, and Executive Director at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona.

    As a lifelong learner, Dil has successfully completed three master’s degrees, MSc (Operations Management), MBA (Strategy and Finance), and MA (Change Management and Innovation) along with a few executive and short programmes on topics that include Corporate Finance, Innovation, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Design Thinking, Process Innovation and Improvement, Objectives and Key Results, Digital Transformation, Online Influence, and Sustainable Business Management.
