Birkbeck has launched a time-limited offer of a £1,000 bursary towards home tuition fees for new students enrolling in the university’s new daytime master's courses, set to begin in Autumn 2024.

The new daytime master’s programmes have been introduced as part of Birkbeck’s commitment to providing students with greater choice over when, where, and how they study for the prestigious University of London qualifications it awards

Professor Sally Wheeler, Vice-Chancellor of Birkbeck commented: “Whether the lessons are during the day or in the evenings, Birkbeck’s programmes are designed to fit around students’ busy lives, enabling them to work and build a career or maintain other commitments, whilst they study with us.

The new bursary exemplifies this commitment to enhancing accessibility, supporting students in their academic pursuits, and providing them with more choice over when, where and how they choose to study.

To be eligible for the bursary, applicants must be starting their first year of master's study in the academic year 2024/25. Additionally, applicants must be ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom, assessed to pay home tuition fees, and applications will need to be submitted by the deadline of 23:59 on June 30, 2024. The bursary is open to current Birkbeck alumni.
