12:00 - Huel: Life at a Startup

Brian Parkinson, Global The Head of Retail Sales for Huel, will be sharing his story and the lessons he has learnt along the way to becoming part of the leadership team at Huel.


Huel (Human + Fuel) is an innovative food company providing the essential nutrition you need to be at your best quickly and easily. The company was founded in 2015 and raised more than $26M in their last investment round. 

 
2:00 pm - Imposter Syndrome with Inside Out Well-Being 

Vanessa Boachie, the founder of the not-for-profit organisation Inside Out Well-Being, will be conducting a workshop to help you address and overcome imposter syndrome. 

 
Imposter Syndrome is one of the biggest barriers holding people back in their careers and business, which is why having the tools to overcome it is crucial for success in the modern working world. 


4:00 pm - The Pioneer 2.0 Panel 

Hear from previous students at Birkbeck University who have completed the Pioneer 2.0 programme and launched and built their own companies. 


Get advice on what it takes to launch a successful business, what they wish they knew while studying and ask questions specific to your business idea. 




Careers Summer Bootcamp - 26th - 28th July 2022

Birkbeck Futures are excited to welcome you to our Careers Summer Bootcamp 2022. Now in the third year running, we are inviting all our students, recent graduates and alumni to join us from Tuesday 26th July to Thursday 28th July for three daily employer-led career sessions focussing on helping to support you in your career journey, build your career capital and develop your personal brand both online and offline.

All sessions will be interactive and are designed to provide you with practical takeaways that you can then put into immediate action. We encourage you to come prepared to ask questions and share your thoughts on the topics at hand. We'd also suggest checking out the associated resources on the Careers Portal which you can access through your My Birkbeck profile.

  • Mr Claud Williams —

    Claud Williams is an award-winning entrepreneur, board member, and executive coach. He is founder of the personal development tech start-up Dream Nation, which has impacted the lives of thousands of young adults across the UK. He has worked with a number of great organisations such as Google, Barclays, and Cambridge University. Claud also serves as a board member for the NHS and an ambassador for the British Dyslexia Association.
