We are pleased to invite you to a joint seminar, AI for Cybersecurity, a collaborative event between the British Data Science Society (BDSS) and BIDA+’s Threat Intelligence Lab. This session will explore how AI and machine learning are shaping the future of cybersecurity, the challenges it faces, and real-world applications in an ever-evolving threat landscape.
The event features a keynote talk by Dr Dragos Gavrilut, a leading expert in applied machine learning for cybersecurity and Vice-President of the Threat Research Lab at Bitdefender, a global cybersecurity leader. Dr Gavrilut is currently leading a team of over 180 researchers with a focus on applied machine learning for threat detection and risk analysis.
This seminar is open to all students, staff, and members of the public interested in the intersection of AI and cybersecurity and is organised by Dr Daniel Stamate (BDSS) at daniel.stamate@manchester.ac.uk and Dr Paul Yoo (BIDA+) at p.yoo@bbk.ac.uk.
