Undergraduate courses
We offer a number of courses for students interested in studying within the Department of English, Theatre and Creative Writing. Students will be able to gain skills, practical knowledge and research which prepares them for a career in the Arts or advanced studies.
Creative Writing (BA)

English (BA)

CREATIVE WRITING And English (ba)
- Students have the opportunity to develop their creative and critical abilities on a fully integrated programme where English Literature and Creative Writing have equal space on the curriculum.
- You'll study bespoke modules which have been specifically designed for the needs and interests of Joint Honour students.
- At the end of your degree, you will have the chance to specialise in English Literature or Creative Writing by completing a dissertation in one of these disciplines.

Liberal Arts (BA)
- Study across several disciplines such as literature, art, history and politics to gain a deeper knowledge of the world.
- You can tailor their own programme of study according to their interests.

Foundation year programmes
- We offer a wide range of full-time evening study degrees with a foundation year which last four years to help you fully prepare for undergraduate study. The first year helps students develop core skills and acquire key knowledge, before moving on to specialist study in the remaining years.
