alumni discount
- Birkbeck alumni are eligible to receive a tuition fee discount when enrolling onto a Master's degree (MA, MSc, LLM and MRes).

Subscription to BBK magazine and e-bbk
- All alumni automatically receive our award-winning magazine, BBK and e-bbk, our monthly e-newsletter. If you are not receiving the magazines and would like to, please update your details.

Careers Support from Birkbeck Careers and Enterprise
- As a former student, for up to two years, you can attend free events, workshops and seminars run by our Careers and Enterprise team, book one-to-one appointments for careers advice and search and apply for jobs. All support is accessed via our two platforms:
- Careers Access Portal (CAP) - Formerly Abintegro
- Career Management Platform, Handshake
For CAP, please log in via this page, selecting the ‘Graduates/Alumni’ option.
You can sign up and create a Handshake account via this page, following these steps:
- Select Birkbeck, University of London as your institution
- Select the “Sign in with your email address” option to create your account with your personal email address
As a member of our alumni community, both platforms are available to you for up to two years from graduating.

Library membership
- Birkbeck Library membership
- As a former student, you can apply for alumni Library access at Birkbeck.
- Find out more about what resources alumni can access.
- University of London Library membership
- As a Birkbeck graduate, you are also eligible to join Senate House Library, the central library of the University of London.
- As part of your membership, you can borrow 10 books and access online resources including JSTOR.
- Three types of membership are available: three-month, six-month and one-year subscriptions.
