When to apply
If you have applied for a Government fee and/or course grant, you should wait until you have received a decision on this application before applying for the Additional Fee Support Scheme.
How to apply
If you are eligible, we will email you details of how to apply, once we have received a PTG1 Government Fee Grant payment for you from Student Finance England. You will then be able to apply for additional help with the remaining balance in full, via a link in your My Birkbeck Profile.
Deadline to apply
The deadline for receipt of applications in the 2011/12 academic year is 1st June 2012. Applications can only be accepted after this date with the prior agreement of the Student Financial Support Office, and if students have exceptional circumstances.
