Financial support for international students
As an international student you should make sure that you can pay your tuition fees and living expenses before coming to the UK. This is not only to ensure that your stay with us is well-planned and successful, but also because it is difficult - if not impossible - to arrange financial support once you have left your own country.
(Not sure if you are considered to be an international student? Check our residence requirements.)
Find out more about:
-
Financial support in your own country: Before you apply, you should contact your own Ministry of Education or careers department. Your local British Council office may also be able to provide useful information, and they now provide an online scholarship search tool, which can help you identify sources of funding.
- Check the UNIAID international student calculator to help you plan and manage your money for study in the UK.
-
The UNIAID Student Life Wiki is an interactive university guide which allows student to view and edit articles about their town, university, living costs, and much more.
- Academic funding opportunities: a number of our postgraduate and PhD degrees have funding attached to them.
- Loans for American students: we can certify loan applications for the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP).
- Loans for Canadian students: we can certify loan applications for Canadian students.
