Birkbeck's success depends on the performance of all members of staff. The College is committed to fostering the learning and development of staff in ways that are appropriate to their individual professional needs.
The Progress and Development Review (PDR) is designed to assist in the achievement of those goals. It provides a framework within which colleagues can discuss their work systematically.
In general. having a PDR will give you:-
- An opportunity to say how you feel you are doing
- An opportunity to express any difficulties you may be having and exploring ways of overcoming these
- To discuss any support or development you may require
- To discuss your future needs and progression
Reviews will take place from:
- June to November for all staff other than academic staff;
- Summer Period for all academic staff.
