Introduction
The Birkbeck College Applied Linguistics Society (BCALS) is pleased to host the 4th Bloomsbury Student Conference in Applied Linguistics. The conference aims to help student researchers in the various sub-fields of applied linguistics gain experience, exchange knowledge and new ideas as well as make valuable contacts for their future careers.
Originally conceived as a venue to bring together the students of applied linguistics studying in the London area, the organisers of the Bloomsbury Student Conference in Applied Linguistics would like to make it known that abstracts are welcomed from students from outside London without discrimination and hope that students from inside and outside of the greater London metropolitan area will take advantage of this unique venue to submit presentation abstracts or simply attend to meet peers.
