Registrations are until 30th. June . If you are on an eligible taught Master's programme, you will be able to register until 30th. September.
If your course is not listed above you can still join Senate House Library on payment of a charge to the College of £85 (for 2012/2013). To join, go to the secure payment form from your My Birkbeck profile. Your application will be processed immediately. Click on the Senate House Library eligibility link on your My Birkbeck profile and you will then be able to print out the "Certificate of Birkbeck Student Eligibility" . Take this, and also your Birkbeck student card, to Senate House Library membership desk.
Eligible distance learners can register by emailing their "Certificate of Birkbeck Student Eligibility" to shl.membership@london.ac.uk and can use the e-resources remotely.
Academic staff should print out the eligibility form and have it signed by a School Manager or Assistant School Manager to verify that you are a current member of staff. Please take the completed form with your staff ID card to Senate House Library membership desk in order to register for the first time or to renew your membership.
Professional services or administrative staff who are studying on one of the designated programmes (listed above) can register with Senate House Library through their ‘My Birkbeck’ profile. Others can join at a cost of £85 for the 2012/2013 academic year. Please complete the application form and take it to the Issue Desk at Birkbeck Library. Payment may be made by cash or debit/credit card.
If your Department is covering the cost, as membership is necessary for your work, the form needs to be signed by an authorised signatory and include the fund code for the necessary recharge.
