Library help for your research

Birkbeck Library is primarily funded as a teaching library but there are many ways we can help you with your research: You can

  • Receive help on using electronic resources on an individual basis from your Subject Librarian
  • Obtain advice on using other libraries and finding material from your Subject Librarian
  • Keep up to date via our electronic resources which have alerting or repeat search services, for example: Business Source Premier, Science Direct, Web of Science and ZETOC. Ask your Subject librarian for help with setting these up
  • Publish your research on BIROn (Birkbeck Institutional Research Online) - an open access database of publications by members of Birkbeck staff. Staff who have made their publications available in this way have found that their research is more widely consulted and therefore has greater impact. Please consult the BIROn web page for more information
