Adjustable height tables and orthopaedic chairs

Adjustable height tables

The ITS workstation rooms each have a height adjustable table which can be raised for wheelchair access or ergonomic reasons. These are located at the front of the room close to the lecturer's desk. The tables are raised and lowered by a crank handle which folds out on the right hand side of the table or by an electric motor controlled by a button on the front of the table.

There is an electronic height adjustable table, which can be raised to standing height, in the assistive technology room 411 (Malet Street main building).  If you would like help finding these tables or instructions on how to operate them please contact Assistive Technology Support disit@bbk.ac.uk Tel: 020 079 0717.

Orthopaedic chairs

ITS has a number of orthopaedic chairs. These can be moved to a specific ITS workstation room if a student requires them for a class. There is an orthopaedic chair permanently located in room 411. To  find out where the orthopaedic chairs are currently situated, how to adjust them, or to request a chair be moved for a class, please contact Disability IT Support disit@bbk.ac.uk Tel: 0207 079 0717.
