Women, Science and Success
An Athena SWAN Event celebrating the success of women in science.
This event is an opportunity to share good practice and raise awareness around women's participation in science; and is part of Birkbeck's preparations for submission to the Athena SWAN Bronze accreditation.
Welcome: Professor Nicholas Keep, Executive Dean of the School of Science, Birkbeck, University of London
Guest Speaker: Professor Alison Rodger, Director of Molecular Organisation and Assembly Cells Doctoral Training Centre, University of Warwick will deliver a presentation titled 'Academia: what, why and how'.
Chair of Panel: Professor Hilary Downes, Birkbeck, University of London will chair a panel of successful women in science who will discuss their personal experiences, work life balances and challenges they might have faced during their careers.
