Dr Andrew Asibong talks about his current research to university audiences in the UK and Canada

In February 2012 Dr Andrew Asibong was invited to speak at the University of Kent at Canterbury and at the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi about his current research, which links the writings of French author Marie NDiaye to those of the recently deceased French psychoanalyst Andre Green. Andrew's papers on 'the dead mother' form the backdrop both to his forthcoming Liverpool University Press book on NDiaye and to a planned interdisciplinary conference at Birkbeck in 2013.

Dr Asibong is Co-Director, Birkbeck Research in Aesthetics of Kinship and Community (BRAKC) and Programme Director, MA Modern Languages (French) and Graduate Diploma (French).
