Welcome to the Department of English and Humanities, one of the liveliest and most successful university departments in the country.

We have achieved notable success in the 2008 national Research Assessment Exercise with 90% of our research being judged to be of quality that is internationally recognized, of which 35% was declared to be ‘world-leading’.
