"Sex and Race": A Work-In-Progress Seminar
25 February at Birkbeck. 10.00-5.00
This work-in-progress seminar brings together speakers from within Birkbeck whose work explores the intersections between "sex" and "race" from a range of disciplinary, theoretical and historical perspectives. The day will focus on a series of short presentations and will allow plenty of time for discussion. Confirmed participants include Andrew Asibong, Heike Bauer, Isabel Crowhurst, Joanne Leal, Jonathan Mackintosh and Emma Sandon.

BIGS Artist Seminar Film Series
May 2010 at Birkbeck.
BIGS will host a series of film screenings including documentaries introduced by the film maker and a guest lecture on Orpheus followed by a screening of Cocteau's Orphée.
