Labs and research facilities
We have state-of-the-art laboratories equipped for protein crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy and tomography, confocal microscopy, biophysics, spectroscopy, molecular biology, synthetic and analytical chemistry and microbiology:
- Conservation and Art Preservation Lab
- Crystallography Computer Support Group
- Electron Microscopy and Image processing
- ISMB Biophysics Centre
- ISMB Microbiology Research Unit
- Confocal micropsopy at the ISMB
- Rayne and Wolfson Laboratory
- Rosalind Franklin Molecular Biology Laboratory
- Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew: partnership
- Spectroscopy Laboratory
- X-Ray Crystallography
Through our close connection with the Institute for Structural Molecular Biology (ISMB), students are able to access a still wider range of equipment on the UCL campus including protein nanoelectrospray mass spectrometry and protein NMR.
