Student research bursaries and funding

The School of Arts at Birkbeck is one of the most vibrant and exciting environments in which to undertake postgraduate studies in the Arts. Over 300 PhD students currently study with us across a range of doctoral programmes. We have an outstanding track record of doctoral research training and opportunities, within established subject disciplines and in interdisciplinary and practice-based modes.

Applications are invited for two fully funded studentships awarded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) under the Collaborative Doctoral Partnership Scheme for PhD projects in the School of Arts at Birkbeck with the National Gallery and Tate Modern respectively. Please follow the links for further particulars.

In 2016 we are offering up to 12 fully funded Postgraduate Research Scholarships, and Arts Research Studentships (ARS -full or partial fee waiver for M.Phil/PhD study). The deadline is now closed for this round, but keep an eye on the website: further funding news will be continually updated.

Master's Funding 2016 awards are also available.
