CAP

Achieve. Advantage. Anytime. Your Career Access Portal or CAP is a 24/7 career development platform, designed to support students, professionals and jobseekers in building their employability and career skills.

The CV360 is an AI-powered CV scanner that gives instant feedback to improve your CV. The Interview Simulator offers practice interviews with automated feedback to boost confidence and performance.

There are many e- learning resources, videos and articles covering topics like networking, personal branding, time management and career planning. In career assessments, students can explore strengths, personality traits and career preferences. Students can begin their journey by taking the Career Pulse.

Students can check out industry insights, company profiles, hiring trends and culture overviews, discover roles across industries, required skills, average salaries and progression routes.

  • For current students: you can access CAP (also known as Abintegro) by logging into your My Birkbeck profile and selecting the Birkbeck Careers and Enterprise image tile. Alteratively, you can visit the Careers and Enterprise Moodle page.

Handshake

Handshake is your Career Management Platform during your time at Birkbeck and beyond. You can book appointments with the team, sign up for events, connect with employers, apply for jobs and do lots more!

  • For current students: you can access Handshake via your My Birkbeck profile and by selecting the Birkbeck Careers and Enterprise image tile or via the Careers and Enterprise Moodle page.

Forage

Forage is your Work Experiences Programme covering a diverse range of bite-sized 5-6 hour virtual experience programmes that give students a genuine career advantage with the world's top companies.
