Spring graduation 2026 - Birkbeck, University of London

The spring 2026 graduation ceremonies at Birkbeck, University of London celebrated the achievements of more than 950 postgraduate students across eight ceremonies held from 28-30 April at the University of London’s Senate House in Bloomsbury. Each ceremony was also livestreamed so that family and friends around the world could join in the celebrations.

Graduands were addressed by Baroness Chakrabarti, President of Birkbeck, and heard from a distinguished line-up of speakers including multi-award-winning journalist and filmmaker, Nadine White, and a range of Birkbeck alumni and leaders from across media, science, business and public life, reflecting the breadth of the graduating cohort’s achievements

The ceremonies celebrated not only academic success, but the many different paths students took to reach this milestone, bringing together graduates from across ages, cultures and life stages. Below are some of the graduands stories.
