About the lab
The renowned ISMB Electron Microscopy Facility was established by Professor Helen Saibil and is now headed by Professor Carolyn Moores, in collaboration with Facility Co-ordinators, Dr Tom Foran and Dr Mark Nakasone.
The Facility supports both molecular and cellular cryo-electron microscopy workflows for researchers from the Bloomsbury campus and beyond.
Local researchers work in the areas of:
- microbiology and infectious disease
- cellular and molecular transport
- molecular machines
- protein folding and misfolding
- DNA and RNA biology
- molecular immunology.
We welcome queries from external or industrial users and have established workflows for training new users and delivering industry-based projects.
