The Birkbeck Sport Business Centre has been organising seminars, conferences and other events for 20 years. These are designed to provide a forum for debate on key management challenges facing the sport industry and typically attract professionals working in the sport industry, academics researching various aspects of sport, students and alumni from Birkbeck and other universities and members of the general public, who have an interest in sport.

Over the years, we have discussed and debated numerous topics, including commercialisation in football, governance in sport, racism, equality, women’s football, international sport law, spectatorship and many, many others. Our events are characterised by expert insight and vigorous discussion. Please note, the Seminar Series operates under Chatham House Rules, so there is no external reporting without the permission of the speaker.
