Be part of student clubs at other University of London institutions
When you are Birkbeck student, you benefit from being part of the University of London community. This large and vibrant community is made up of universities across London including Birkbeck, so that means you can join their huge range of clubs, societies and student groups.
Whether you want to try a new sport, meet people outside your course, join a cultural society, or take part in creative or professional groups, there are hundreds of opportunities open to you.
You can get involved through associate or affiliate membership, meaning you can join even if you’re not enrolled at that specific university.
Why join a club at another university?
Joining clubs beyond Birkbeck can help you:
- Meet students from all over the world who have come to study in London
- Grow your social and professional network
- Benefit from trying activities not currently offered at Birkbeck
- Access specialist sports facilities or equipment
- Explore cultural, academic or hobby-based communities
- Get more out of studying in central London
If there’s something you’re passionate about and you can’t find it at Birkbeck, chances are another nearby campus has it.
