    Biography

    I completed an MMath at the University of St Andrews in 2014, before completing a PhD in 2018 at the University of Birmingham supervised by Andrew Treglown. I then held a number of postdoctoral positions, working with Jan Hladký (at the Czech Academy of Sciences), Dan Kráľ (at Masaryk University in Brno), Felix Joos (at Heidelberg University, funded by a Humboldt research fellowship), Peter Keevash (at the University of Oxford) and Jan Volec (at the Czech Technical University in Prague).

    I joined Birkbeck as a Lecturer in Discrete Mathematics in 2026.

    Research overview

    My research is across a broad range of topics within discrete mathematics. I am especially interested in extremal and probabilistic combinatorics, Ramsey theory, and additive combinatorics, and in particular on topics at the intersection of Ramsey theory and random graphs.
    I am also interested in links between these topics and other areas of mathematics such as number theory, group theory and analysis.
