    Biography

    Kasim is an England & Wales qualified solicitor (currently non-practising) with a PhD from University College London and MA & MPhil from the University of Cambridge. 

    As a solicitor Kasim primarily carried out corporate transactional work in the energy sector. His practice included secondments to the British Civil Service and a Big Six energy company.

    Prior to joining Birkbeck Kasim worked at a range of higher education institutions including King's College London, University of Hertfordshire, Loughborough University, and the University of Nottingham.
