Biography
Michael Powell-Davies is a postdoctoral research associate at Birkbeck, University of London, leading the 'London' strand of the Leverhulme-funded project ‘Written Worlds: Non-Elite Writing in Seventeenth-Century England’.
Investigating the people and places of writing in early modern London, he is currently writing on stationers, vestrymen, apprentices, shipwrights, and a site-based study of cultural life along the Thames.
