Teaching

The summer term did not involve any teaching but was marked by the submission by students of their assessment of our teaching provision in 2020-21. Across the three Jean Monnet modules, students reported very high rates of satisfaction with our provision, including its online component (which resulted from problems caused by the pandemic).

Research

Dr D. G. Dimitrakopoulos has continued his work on the EU’s initial response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The corresponding article has been accepted for publication in the Journal of European Public Policy, the top academic journal in the field, and has already appeared online.

On 12 June 2021 Dr Dimitrakopoulos made a presentation on parliamentary oversight of executive rule-making in the EU in the context of the (online) conference of the ECPR's Standing Group on the European Union.

Finally, we are also pleased to announce that Dr Dionyssis G. Dimitrakopoulos, holder of the Jean Monnet Chair in Parliamentary Democracy and European Integration, has been promoted to Reader.
