December 2025 update from Uni Connect.
Our BTEC Project designed to support BTEC students transitioning into university is launching with a focus group at Havering College this week and we are working towards a full project launch in the new year.
Two partner colleges have recently hosted university-led sessions for Access to HE Diploma students, focusing on developing strong personal statements. Meanwhile, dates have been confirmed for the Oracy and Law Project this spring term. This will be the second year running, following last year’s successful pilot at Ark Putney in partnership with Birkbeck.
The Kick Start Sports project has completed its in-college workshops this term, with NCC Epping and Barnet Southgate welcoming academics from UEL, UWL and Middlesex. University visits are currently being arranged for February 2026.
Our Kick Start Creative programme at West Thames has also wrapped up its on-campus workshops, supported by the University of West London and the University of Greenwich. Campus visits are scheduled for January.
Finally, our LUC Webinar Series saw continues this Wednesday 26 Novemeber with Earn While You Learn: Apprenticeships, delivered by Higher In. We expect strong attendance, and registrations are still open:
